Happy Homes is a private community matchmaking coordination service operated by [NONPROFIT LEGAL NAME] (the “Operator”), a nonprofit organization established in the United States. The Operator determines why and how personal information is processed through Happy Homes.
This Policy applies to Happy Homes participants who are at least 18 years old and live in the United States.
Information We Process
- Account and contact information: name, email address, phone number, role, location, access permissions, and account-security records.
- Profile and preference information: age or year of birth, education, occupation, family and lifestyle information, marriage and relocation preferences, religious beliefs or observance, immigration or residency information, free-text responses, and optional photos.
- Coordination and communication records: introduction suggestions, decisions, messages, notes, reports, support requests, and records of profile sharing.
- Technical information: IP address, device and browser information, session and authentication data, notification tokens, and security or diagnostic logs.
Why We Process Information
- Create and maintain accounts and candidate profiles.
- Coordinate introductions and share approved profile information within the authorized workflow.
- Send invitations, verification messages, reminders, and service communications.
- Protect the service, prevent misuse, provide support, and maintain reliable operations.
- Comply with law, respond to valid requests, and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.
Who Receives Information
- Authorized participants: coordinators and assigned support personnel receive the profile, contact, communication, and workflow information needed for their role.
- Proposed matches: approved profile information and, if permitted, photos may be shared with a person proposed as a match. Direct identity and contact information remain restricted until the workflow permits disclosure.
- Service providers: cloud hosting, database, storage, authentication, email, notification, security, and support providers process the information needed to perform services for us under contractual restrictions.
- Legal and organizational recipients: professional advisers, public authorities, or a successor organization may receive relevant information when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, protection of rights or safety, or an organizational transition subject to appropriate safeguards.
Sensitive Personal Data and Permission
Profiles may include sensitive personal data, including religious beliefs or observance and citizenship, immigration, or residency information. We request affirmative consent where required before processing this information. Optional photos are shared with proposed matches only according to the candidate’s selected photo-sharing preference.
A candidate may withdraw consent by contacting us or the coordinator who invited them. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed and may prevent us from continuing the matchmaking service. Anyone who submits information for another person must first have that person’s permission.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the matchmaking workflow, account administration, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record, whether the process is active, and whether an investigation or legal hold applies. When information is no longer needed, we delete, redact, or de-identify it in accordance with our retention procedures.
Account deletion may not remove records that must be retained for security, legal compliance, the rights of other participants, or the integrity of shared communications. We limit any retained information to what remains necessary.
Your Choices and Rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information or withdraw consent. Depending on your state, you may also have rights to obtain a portable copy, opt out of certain processing, or appeal a decision on a privacy request. We may verify your identity before acting and may deny a request where the law permits.
Submit a request using the email address below or through your coordinator. To appeal a decision, reply to our response with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
Age and Geographic Scope
Happy Homes is limited to people who are at least 18 years old and live in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Contact us if you believe information about a minor has been submitted.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
